Tyre pressure indicator for each BMW

Available in future as a standard feature: Tyre pressure indicator for each individual tyre.

If until now some BMW drivers were checking tyre pressure manually the new owners won’t have to do that.

Starting with spring of 2014 drivers of all new BMW’s will have tyre pressure indicator offered as a standard equipment with the exception of the BMW X6.

Sensors on all four tyres facilitate an exact and individual monitoring of the pressure in each individual tyre. The tyre pressure currently at hand will be shown in the Control Display or the instrument cluster, respectively, depending on the model and the equipment options customers have chosen.

The only thing is that I hope it won’t be annoying to the driver, if for example you are somewhere where you can’t pump wheels at this very moment.

BMW X1 obtained the “Gelber Engel” award for its convincing quality. Actually we are thinking of buying this car for my wife. She likes it a lot. Not too big not too small plus higher driver position.

P90093173-highResMy congratulations BMW, keep up the good work and feel free to invite me in Germany to see my favorite car’s factory 🙂

Have a good day everyone.

How BMW’s 2 litre petrol engine evolved during the years

One of the most popular BMW engines was and still are 2 litre engines especially in countries where taxes are high.

Many people choose 2 litre engine because of the final car price including customs clearance and due to less fuel consumption.

Let’s see how BMW’s 2 litre engine changed during the years.

1965–1976: M05 1,990 cc (121.4 cu in) 90 kW (122 PS; 121 hp) 167 N·m (123 lb·ft). Used in BMW 2000, 2000C and 2002.

Different S14 modifications were used on BMW M3 E30.

For example S14B20 was sold in Portugal and Italy only fitted on BMW E30, 320iS.

S14 combines the basic four-cylinder block from the M10 family with a four-valve head derived from the one used on the six-cylinder M88 and S38 motors. Special features of this engine include individual throttle plates for each cylinder, machined intake and exhaust ports, and a crankshaft with eight counterweights. (C) bmwmregistry.com
